My name is Albert Jones, but everyone calls me “Ru-Al”. I’m from Compton, California. I was sentenced to death in Riverside County on September 20, 1996 for a crime I did not commit.
I’m a writer and have published 11 books thus far. My writings are about my story and about life on death row in San Quentin. Living on San Quentin Death Row for 30 years, it took having a very strong supporting team of family and friends for me to accomplish so much in this evil maze. I have achieved great highs being a college graduate, artist, and an author of many self published books. I was able to do this under some very harsh conditions. With my strong Christian faith, I was able to stay positive, productive, and I'll soon walk out a free man.
